Metropolitan Opera Reaches Labor Agreement

The Metropolitan Opera administration reached an early-morning agreement with its stagehand union early Wednesday morning, completing contentious negotiations with its largest unions. Administration is now moving on to talks with the smaller unions involved in opera production, but announced it would proceed with its season on time and as planned.

    This is one of those “cost alternatives,” right? Mixed feelings about labor unions, but hopefully they can stave off going the heart wrenching way of City Opera… 😦
